My passion for vibrant colours, flowers, gardens, nature and the Devonshire countryside has always inspired my art work.

As an ex-florist, I still use my experience, along with visualizing colour, composition and textures to create, what I hope will be a sense of warmth, happiness and calm for the viewer.

I am often asked about the circle/bubbles/fairy rings in my paintings. Many of my floral abstract pieces simply come together from intuitive thoughts, mark-making and just how I'm feeling at the time. When painting these pieces, I am very often thinking of times as a child. Running around flower beds and playing. Visiting Grandparents who had beautiful gardens full of flowers, vegetables and great paths for exploring and hiding.

Circles…I use them as visual representations of happy feelings and memories. My way of giving those warm, happy, calming feeling's to the viewer. I am also a child of the 80’s and spent many hours, blowing washing up liquid bubbles in the garden!

I work mainly in Acrylic with other mediums such as coloured pencil, inks and pastels to add texture and interest. I have also been experimenting with digital illustration, and I have produced a collection, that can be found on my Folksy shop.

I work from my small home studio, near Newton Abbot in Devon UK.
